Helen R. Marin, 93, Altoona, formerly of 504 57th Street, passed away Friday evening at Valley View Home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Harry I. and Esther M. (Vaught ) Miller.
Surviving are a son, John S. "Goose" Marin and wife, Mary, with whom Helen resided; a grandson, Stephen D. "Steamer"; a granddaughter, Amanda M.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her extended family, the Covers.
Helen was a graduate of Altoona High School. She retired in 1982 from Laughlin-Carn Funeral Home, where she was the housekeeper for 25 years. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Helen enjoyed life and being with her son and his wife and her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, officiated by Father Brian Saylor.
Committal at Blair Memorial Park will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be directed to the family.
