Alice M. Winrick 77, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Philip and Florence ( McGregor) Chirdon. On April 29, 1955, she married Frank Winrick at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1998.
Surviving are seven daughters: Dolores Simonis (Richard), Gloria Caporuscio (Stephen), Teresa Wagner, Sandra Stenger (Michael), Diane Baum (Will), Barbara Pague (Michael) and Alice Brotherton (Brian); two sons: Robert and Frank (Sharon); 39 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a longtime companion, Eugene McCauley.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Hull; an infant sister, Delores; and a brother, Irvin Chirdon.
Alice was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish (St. Leo the Great Catholic Church) and she attended Cathedral. She was NASCAR enthusiast, and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting and spending time with her dog.
Alice was a loving mother, nana and great-grandmother.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Our Lady Of Fatima Church, 2010 12th Ave., Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements are by Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona
