ANN V. HOROMANSKI

Ann V. Horomanski, 85, Altoona, was received by the Lord Tuesday at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Glen White, daughter of the late Andrew and Agnes (Wanat) Ansman. She married John J. Horomanski on June 5, 1954, in Gallitzin, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1983.

Surviving are a son, Gary J. Sr.; and four grandchildren: Heather, Shawn, Rose and Gary Jr.

She was preceded in death by seven siblings: Stanley, John “Tex,” Walter “Vudge,” Joseph, Kay Whitcore, Mary Delozier and Stella Bradley.

Ann was a graduate of Gallitzin High School and owner/operator of Stanley Service Station and Horomanski Trucking. She was a beloved member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She volunteered at various church socials and was a regular volunteer at Mercy Hospital. She was also a member of the Slavish Citizens Club in Lilly and St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood Ladies Auxiliary.

Ann enjoyed gardening and listening to Polish music, especially John Koza Polka Party. She enjoyed all aspects of life, including taking care of her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 5514 Roselawn Ave., Altoona. Committal will be at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Altoona.
