Anthony J. Parrish September 2, 1936 - September 29, 2009 Mr. Parrish age 73, of Lakemont died Tuesday morning at Altoona Regional Health System Altoona Hosp Campus. Born in Cresson, PA., he was the son of the late Leonard A. and Ellen E. (Ray) Parrish. He married Marie 'Dolly' C. Smith on October 21, 1961 at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Survived by his wife: Dolly, one daughter: Tina Marie Dittsworth and husband Dwayne of Duncansville, one son: Guy Anthony and wife Deborah of Dysart, two grandsons, Trevor D. Dittsworth; and Todd A. Dittsworth; two granddaughters, Amanda J. Parrish and Andrea N. Parrish; many nieces and nephews One sister: Patricia Bennett of Roanoke Rapids, NC. Predeceased by his sister, Barbara Virga, and brothers, Robert, Leonard. Mr. Parrish was a member of Bavarian Aid Society, Heidelberg Country Club, and NRA He was employed at the Hollidaysburg State Hospital and then he retired in 1991 from the Altoona Center where he worked with the patients doing recreational activities. Mr. Parrish was a avid hunter and an out doors man, 4 wheeling, playing cards, board games, and avid reader, and a former lightweight golden glove champion. He served during Korean War as a private first class with the US Army He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Friends may be received from 4 to 8 pm Thursday and from 9 to 10 am Friday at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 - 17th Street, Altoona, PA...
