Barbara J. Settlemyer

Barbara J. Settlemyer, 87, of Altoona, died Sunday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Blanche (Bougher) Clowson. 

Her husband, Paul V. Settlemyer, whom she married on July 1, 1953, preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 2014.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Swartz (Don); three sons, Joseph E. (Renee), Mark R. (Karen) and Bruce (Claudia); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald A. 

Barbara was also preceded in death by her son, Lonnie D.; and siblings: Jennie Bookhamer, Eleanor Airey, John D. and Ralph E. 

Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo and Crafts.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17^th St., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Thomas Kurtz. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
