Bernice E. Garis

Bernice E. Garis age 75, of formerly of 2015 Broad Ave. Altoona, died Sunday at Hearthside Nursing Home, State College, PA where she was recently a guest. Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Reuben R and Ruth Elizabeth (Van Allman) Garis. Survived by one daughter: Joy Wheeler and husband Robert of Charlotte, NC, A sister: Carrol J. Miles and husband Albert of Minersville, PA and one brother: Harold R. Garis and wife Sue of Whitney, TX. , and several nieces and nephews, Bernice retired after 30 years of service a staff clerk from Bell of Pennsylvania. Bernice was a member of Faith United Church of Christ at 711- 7th Ave. She was a Graduate of Altoona High School. Friends may call from 9:30 am to 11 am, Friday morning at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 - 17th Street, Altoona, PA. Where a funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, by Rev. Richard Henry. Bernice will be laid to rest at Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
