CATHERINE J. "Cathy" BACZA

Catherine J. “Cathy” Bacza, 81, Riggles Gap, Altoona, passed away Wednesday evening at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Davis) Wolff. On Oct. 19, 1957, she married Paul A. Bacza in Altoona, and he preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1999.

Surviving are three sons: Robert P. and wife, Eileen, of Stonington, Conn., Richard J. and wife, Karen, and Steven J. and wife, Evie, all of Riggles Gap, Altoona; five grandchildren: Michael R., Matthew P., Kristen L. Witham  and husband, Dana, Steven Jr. and wife, Kim, and Samantha T.; and four great-grandchildren: Alexander, Jacob, Maverick and Brooke Ann.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary E. Coldwell; and an infant brother, Robert.

Cathy was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Bellwood. She was a good mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, enjoying her time with all of them and her beloved pug dog, Rocky.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, and from 10:30 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Grace Lutheran Church, Bellwood, Pastor Talbot-Moses officiating.
