Charlene J. Wertz
August 11, 1936 — March 16, 2025
Charlene J. Wertz, 88, of Altoona, died Sunday afternoon at Colonial Courtyard, Tyrone. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Stephen and Dorothy (Stitt) Wagner.
She married Donald Robert Wertz on June 7, 1957. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2021.
Surviving is a son, Stephen Wertz, and best friend, Connie; a granddaughter, Heather Wertz; and a great-grandson, Chace.
She was also preceded in death by her sons, Robert and Douglas; a sister, Jerilynn Ann Calzaferri; and brother, Stephen “Bud.”
Charlene enjoyed quilting and loved to fish with her husband and family.
A private service was held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Blair Memorial Park.
