Daniel Joseph Myers

Daniel Joseph Myers, 56, Altoona, formerly of Juniata, died Sunday afternoon at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late Raymond Peter and Mary Elizabeth ''Betty'' (Bonner) Myers. He is survived by two daughters: Stephanie Myers and Kellie Myers; two sons: Neil Myers and Daniel Myers; five sisters: Mary Yuvan, Gretchen Packard, Kathleen Winter, Constance Novak and Bridget Myers; and a brother, Regis Myers. Mr. Myers is also survived by a dear friend Diane Butch. He was a sanitation supervisor for Stroehmann Bakery. Mr. Myers was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School, Class of 1970. Dan was an avid hunter. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 13, 2009, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata, by Monsignor Michael E. Servinsky, V.G. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
