DEBORAH L. 'DEBBIE' FISHER

Deborah L. Fisher, 58, Altoona passed away peacefully Saturday at her residence surrounded by her family after an extended illness.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Nancy G. (LaBriola) Ronan and the late Joseph A. Ronan Jr. On June 16, 1990, she married Robert E. Fisher at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Bob; her mother, Nancy; two sisters: Lisa D. Funari and husband, A. Paul, of State College and Dr. Dana M. Mignogna and husband, Dr. Matthew, of Fountainville; a brother, Joseph A. III and wife, Janet, of Pittstown, N.J.; many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews; an aunt, Rosemary Ronan of Altoona; an uncle, David LaBriola of Hollidaysburg; and four cousins.

She was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles: Patricia Ronan, Father Eugene Ronan and William and Antonetta Ronan.

She was a 1977 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1981. She received her teaching certification from St. Francis College. She had been employed at St. Rose of Lima and Holy Trinity Catholic Schools until her retirement on Jan. 1, 2018, after 38 years of service. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Deborah enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling in the United States, especially visiting the National Parks.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Fr. Carl Spishak celebrant. Committal will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
