Mrs. E. Pauline Bowman, 98, of New Enterprise, formerly of Green Avenue Tower, Altoona, joined her heavenly Father, surrounded by her family at her bedside Friday afternoon, at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James Joseph and Margaret (Sheridan) McCabe. She married Edward R. Bowman Sr. on Oct. 10, 1935, in Altoona. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1981.
Surviving are two daughters: Celeste L. Mountain, with whom she resided and Nancy Beatty of Mountaintop; two sons: Kelly of Bandon, Oregon and James of Callery; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great -grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward R. Jr.; and a daughter, Patrice.
Pauline was a homemaker and a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1 Cathedral Square, Altoona, Pa., by Father John Gibbons.
Committal will be at Green Lawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
