ELIZABETH J. 'BEFFIE' MAYS

Elizabeth J. 'Beffie' Mays, 50, Altoona, died Tuesday evening at Altoona Regional Health System, Seventh Avenue Campus, after an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of John A. and Peggy (Eichenlaub) Mays. Surviving are her parents; two sisters: Patti Jo Mays and Donna Ott, both of Altoona; her fiancé, Brian Daugherty of Duncansville; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews: Chuck, Vanessa, Buddy, Torie, Jessica, Lea, Tyler, Charlie, Joel, Alexis, Tucker, Vickey and Casey. Beffie was a 1979 graduate of Altoona Area High School and attended Penn State University for two years. She was a volunteer for Family Services for 12 years. She enjoyed dirt track racing and especially spoiling her babies and her little dog, Rocket. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly make remembrances to the family.
