Eloise P. Kwolek, 91, Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, died Monday evening at Altoona Regional Health System, Seventh Avenue Campus.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Martin and Alexandra (Piotrowski) Kwolek.
Surviving are a sister, Verna F. Jarkiewicz of Suffern, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews: Mary Ann Wielkoszewski, Diane Kennelly, Susan Jarkiewicz, Fred Wasylson, Robert Wasylson, Donna Ellerman, Michael Kwolek, Rosemarie Huyett, Karen Nasralla, Mary Beth Moore, Thomas Kwolek, Patricia Mattas and Francis Kwolek.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Leo, Frank and her twin, Aloysius; and four sisters: Helen Wasylson and Stella A., Mary and Sophie Kwolek.
Eloise was a seamstress and knitter for Warnaco. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a past member of SS. Peter and Paul Rosary Society, Ave Maria Society, St. Hedwig's Society and the St. Cecilia Choir of SS. Peter and Paul Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading and embroidering.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 12th Avenue and 20th Street, Altoona, by Father James D. Zatalava. Committal will be at SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery.
