EMMA BARBARA OSMOLINSKI
February 27, 1926 — April 7, 2012
Mrs. Emma Barbara Osmolinski 86, of Altoona,went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning Saturday at Altoona Regional Health System Altoona Hosp Campus.
Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Muriz) Duma. She married John Edward Osmolinski on May 20, 1950 at St, Joseph Parish, Haverhill, Massachusetts
Survived by her husband of 61 years; three daughters: Terri (Vince) Durbin of Altoona, Celine of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.; and Elaine (Mike) Kenny of Sinking Spring; two sons: John (Cindi) of Harrisburg; Edward (Lisa) of DuBois; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Laura, Justin, Sarah, Ryan, Shaun, and Lindsay Osmolinski’s; Megan (Brad) Freidhof; Brianna and Buddy Durbin; Mikaela and Michael Kenny; a great granddaughter “Little Emma†Freidhof; Step-grandchildren, Ashley and Bridget Kenny; two brothers, Stanley and Andrew; one sister: Rose Souliotis.
Predeceased by her brother Bill, and her sisters, Phyllis Wolak and Charlotte Vine.
Emma was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and the Resurrection Choir. She was a Graduate of class of 1944 Haverhill Hill High School
Emma enjoyed reading, sewing, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter, as family was the joy of her life. She was always known to be singing or humming a tune, and for that she will be fondly remembered. She had a deep faith in the Lord and lived all of her days as one of Christ's disciples. Emma will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8; 30 pm at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 - 17th Street, Altoona, PA. where a Vigil for the deceased will be held Monday afternoon at the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Broad Ave and 27th Street, Altoona by Father David R. Rizzo.
Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers kindly make donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
