Emma Mae Watchey, 96, of Altoona, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, where she was a resident. Emma was born in Avonmore, Pa., daughter of the late Paul E. and Edna Mae (Mitchell) Sullivan.
She married Edward Watchey Jr. on May 19, 1945, in Avonmore. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1986.
Surviving are three sons: Robert P. and wife, Deborah; James E. and wife, Pam; and Edward J. and wife, Janet; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dianna O'Neil; and a special niece, Linda (Bottali) Casello.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Mae Wenrich; sister, Betty Jean Bottali; and brother, Paul E. Sullivan.
Emma was a member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed Bingo and bowling. Emma also loved spending time with her family and her cat, Miss Kitty.
Emma began her career at A & P Warehouse, Boyer Candy, and was a cashier for Steven's Dry Cleaners.
At the request of the family, there will be no service. Interment will be private at Blair Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Wehnwood United Methodist Church, 2511 Juniata Gap Rd., Altoona, PA 16601.
