Fred E. Warnick, 74, Altoona, died Thursday evening at Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh. He was born in Homestead, son of the late Fred E. and Grace (Gray) Warnick. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Julia Klaiber-Clapper and husband, Sean, of Bellwood; two stepsons: Thomas Klaiber and fiancÃ©e, Terry White, and David Klaiber, all of Altoona; a granddaughters, Kiera Clapper; and Tarin Klaiber; and two sisters: Pat Warnick and Kathy Marzec and fiancÃ©, Floyd Butler, all of Munhall. He was preceded in death by Tokie Klaiber-Warnick. Fred retired as a general manager from Motel 6 and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a referee for basketball and helped with Special Olympics, and he especially enjoyed his dog, Ruby. At the request of the deceased, there will be no service.
