Helen M. Glashauser, 98, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona passed away Saturday morning at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg. She was born in Curwensville, the daughter of the late Robert and Agnes (Slovick) Crookshank.
She was twice married: first to Mark Farrell who passed away Nov. 10, 1970, and later to George Glashauser who passed away May 31, 2011.
Surviving are a son, James “Jim” (Mary) Farrell of Altoona; six grandchildren: Ryan (Jessica) Farrell, Graham (Ashley) Farrell, Todd (Missy) Farrell, Katie (Anthony) Razzano, Jennifer (Benjamin) Weaver and Evan (Alyse) Farrell; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Mark and George; a son, Mark E. Farrell; two sisters, Marjorie Kelly and Betty Mae Crookshank; and three brothers: Lyle, Robert and Ronald Crookshank.
Helen was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
She worked at the A&P Bakery, and enjoyed crafts.
Most of all, Helen cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 12th Ave. and 20th St., Altoona, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the church, with Father Mariusz Gorazd.
Private committal at Blair Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
