HOWARD E. "GENE" ROYER

Harold E. "Gene" Royer, 74, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away Friday afternoon at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Carl and Elsie Mae (Corbin) Royer.

Surviving is a niece, Sue Chathams and her husband, John, of Flinton.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard W. Royer.

Gene was employed by Skills Industrial Services as a laborer and did lawn care for his Fifth Ward neighborhood in Altoona.

Gene enjoyed bowling and model trains, as well as trains in general. His favorite pleasure was eating Brothers Pizza.

Gene was a member of ARC of Blair County and a former member of Fourth Lutheran Church, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 2 to the 6 p.m. where a funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at 6pm Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, officiated by UPMC Altoona Chaplain Barbara Rossi. A private interment will be held at Oakridge Cemetery.
