Irene C. Mishock

 Irene C. Mishock, 91, Altoona, passed away Friday at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona.

  Irene was born in Gallitzin, daughter of the late Fred and Julia (Skebeck) Boldizar. On Oct. 22, 1955, she married Joseph C Mishock at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gallitzin. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 2013. 

  Surviving are a daughter, Diane Burkett and husband, Scott; a son, Steven; two grandchildren, Matt and wife, Melissa Burkett and Brent Burkett; and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Bair Burkett and Logan Dressler.

  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rose Misko; and brothers: John Boldizar, Robert Boldizar and Frank Boldizar.

  She was an inventory clerk at J.C. Penney and worked on the assembly line at Sylvania. She was a volunteer for Altoona Regional Hospital for 17 years.

  Friends will be received from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Father John Lynam, celebrant.

  Private committal will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Gallitzin.

  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 5514 Roselawn Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
