James A. Reaney, 83, Allegheny Township, Duncansville, died Sunday afternoon at Altoona Regional.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Paul and Mary (Hill) Reaney. He was twice married, first to Rhuey J. Wright, who preceded him in death. He then married Libby Stuckey on Sept. 27, 1973, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife Libby; a daughter, Joy Carini and husband, Todd, and their children, Taylor J., Jordan D., Andrew J. and Ashley J., all of Altoona; two sons: Douglas J. and wife, Joanne, of Rock Hall, Md., and David M. and wife, Michele, and their children, Joshua A., Bradley M. and Travis B., all of Altoona; and a sister, Joan Chapple of Lancaster.
James was a 1948 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant during the Korean War, and he was a member of the Duncansville American Legion Post 945. He was a salesman during his career.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, Pastor Gary Dull officiating.
