James M. Werner

James M. Werner, 85, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday afternoon at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Leonard M. and Jean V. (Geisinger) Werner. He married Judith A. Sipes on June 29, 1968.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; a son, Eric and his wife, Heidi Werner; a son, Michael and his wife, Robin Werner; and two grandsons, Barend and Lowen Werner.

Jim was a 1956 graduate of Altoona High School and attended the Altoona campus of Penn State University.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1956-62 as an Airman 2nd Class.

Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman, and worked as an Engineer and Layout Technician for Penelec for more than 30 years.

A private service was held by Pastor Brian Choi. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
