Kathryn Kim Clapper, 68, of Altoona, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at her residence surrounded by her family. Kim was born in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William Patrick and Rita Myrtle (Nolan) Reidy.
Surviving are two daughters: Heather Goodman (Randy) and Dawn DelGrosso both of Altoona; three sons: D. Matthew (Jill) of Altoona, Christopher (Kerry) both of Altoona and Scott of Silver Spring, Md.; three sisters: Patricia Reidy, Danette Lee and Janice Frank all of Altoona; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her husband, David C. Clapper, whom she married July 12, 1971, in Cumberland, Md., preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Darci Clapper; and best friend, Sharon Bollman.
She dedicated her days to being an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and also many in the community around her. For many years she helped run and organize concessions for Logan Township Little League.
At the request of the deceased there will be no service. Inurnment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation of spreading the love she worked so hard to bring others. Please send love and cards to the patients of nursing homes in her honor, and go love your family.
