MARY FREDERICK
March 3, 1938 — January 24, 2017
Mary A. Frederick, 78, Altoona, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard and Florence (Kensinger) Mummert. On July 9, 1960, she married George D. Frederick at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Altoona.
Surviving are her husband; four sons: Jeff (Trish), David, Mark (Carol) and Bradley (Ginney); eight grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and a sister, Alice Mummert of Altoona.
She was predeceased by two brothers: Harry and John Mummert; and three sisters: Barbara Sutch, Susan Swartz and Kathryn Cassanese.
Mary was an auto mount for Sylvania. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. At the request of the deceased, the casket will be closed. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the funeral home, Pastor Kathy Colebank officiating. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park, Altoona.
