Mary Ann Hofer, 91, of Altoona, passed away Monday morning at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehab. She was born in Coupon, daughter of the late John P. and Victoria M. (Vinglas) Koeck.
Surviving are two sons, Richard D. Hofer Sr. and Robert J. Hofer; grandchildren: Josh (Miranda) Hofer, Brittney Hofer, Kelly (Jason) Miller and Richard Hofer Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, George D. Koeck; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John P. Koeck Jr.; daughter-in-law, Milissa Hofer; and a grandson, Brock Hofer.
Mary Ann was a member of The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.
She retired after many years of service as a manager at Wissinger’s Cleaning Village.
Mary Ann enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, dancing, watching TV, talking on the phone and socializing with her family and friends.
A private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at 9 a.m. at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, by Monsignor Stanley Carson. Committal will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Coupon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial donations be sent to The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1 Cathedral Square, Altoona, PA 16601.
