Ollie Wade Kuhns Jr.

Ollie W. Kuhns Jr., 78, of Altoona, passed away July 29, 2025. Ollie was born in Altoona, the son of the late Ollie Wade Sr. and Dolores (Roddy) Kuhns. He is survived by his daughters, Alicia Kuhns and Julie Cohick; five grandchildren: Mackenzie Kuhns, Jerome and Josiah Banks and Quentin and Kendall Cochick; and a sister: Janet McKinen. He was predeceased by his brothers, David and Jerry E. Ollie was a mail handler for USPS.Member of James L. Noble Post #3 VFW, the Fort Apache VFW, and Central Pennsylvania National Guard Veteran Association.He served during Vietnam war in the Marine Corps from Sep 13, 1966, to Sept 12, 1969, as a Corporal.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Sept. 6, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fort Apache VFW, 125 N. 16th Ave., Altoona.

In Lieu of flowers kindly make donations to his daughter Alicia Kuhns, 5 Fairway Rd. 1B Newark, Delaware 19711 to help defray the cost.

Private Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
