PATRICIA L. McCABE

Patricia L. McCabe, 80, Altoona, died Tuesday morning at her residence. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Earl and Geraldine (Herschell) Bradley. She married William P. McCabe on Aug. 28, 1948, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2000. Surviving are two daughters: Christine Young and husband, Gary, of Terre Haute, Ind., and Michele McClellan and husband, Tom, of Altoona; a son, William Jr. of Ashville; six grandchildren: Matthew Young, Shayna Tews, Billy McCabe, Alisha McCabe, Cassi Richardson and Brandon McClellan; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Thelma Shaffer and Marlene Thornton, both of Altoona. Patricia was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, a bowling league at Holiday Bowl and the Sunday night mixed league at the Bavarian Hall. She bowled at Pleasant Valley Recreation Center in leagues for many years. She enjoyed the Peppi exercise group at Blair Senior Center. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Fourth Street and Wopsononock Avenue, Altoona, by Father D. Timothy Grimme.
