Patrick William Laret

Patrick William Laret, 61, Derwood, Md., formerly of Altoona, died July 4, 2010, at No. 2 Renmin Hospital of Xianyang, Shaanxi, China. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Edgar and Mary (Rafferty) Laret. Surviving are a sister, Rita R. of Altoona; a brother, Michael A. of Mooresburg, Tenn.; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Patrick was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a staff sergeant during the Vietnam era, serving as a senior pneudraulics with the U.S. Air Force. He was working for Rockwell Collins Simulation as a simulator installer. Patrick was an avid golfer and a movie collector. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to the noon funeral service Friday, July 23, 2010, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, with the service led by Sandra Lapore. Committal will be at Grandview Cemetery.
