Pearl Helen Ickes

Pearl Helen Ickes, 99, Valley View Home, Altoona, formerly of Eleventh Street Tower, Altoona, died Friday morning at the home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Martha (Ressler) Wicker. She married William Ickes April 15, 1925, in Altoona. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1967. Surviving are a daughter, Edna Hierling of Altoona; a son, Jesse Ickes of Cape Coral, Fla.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Ickes; a daughter, Martha Stitt; sisters: Minnie Karbowniczek, Naomi Ickes and Edna Stewart; and a brother, Herman Wicker. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or service. Interment will be at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
