Randy S. Banks

Randy Scott Banks, 61, of Altoona, died Wednesday evening at UPMC Altoona. Randy was born in Altoona, son of the late Martin Banks and Judy (Vaughn) Banks Lang.

He married Amy Anne Yeager on Feb. 21, 2004, at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.

Surviving are his wife, Amy: two sons, Christopher (Ashley) Summerville and David (Claire) Summerville; a grandson, Jasper; and his stepmother, Patty Banks; a sister, Janele (David) Lee; and two brothers, Tim (Tara) Banks and Rick (Michele) Banks; a sister-in-law, Joan Banks; in-laws, Susan and George Baker; and many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Martin Banks; and stepdad, Howard “Jr.” Lang.

Randy was a graduate of Altoona Area High School Class of 1982, and worked as a carpenter for various construction companies.

He loved spending time with his wife and family, especially his grandson.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a service will be held at 4:30 p.m. with Pastor Drew Baker.

Private interment at Logan Valley, Bellwood.
