SHIRLEY A. STEVENS

Shirley Stevens, 92, Altoona, passed away Thursday evening at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Norman E. and Lola D. (Toth) Wise. She married John C. Stevens, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Sherida A. Richards and husband Ronald F. of Stephens City, Va.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy J. Wise.

She worked as a quality inspector at Sylvania, Altoona. She was a member of member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church and the Juniata VFW Post 8685/Fort Apache Ladies Auxiliary.

Shirley enjoyed playing cards and going to Bingo.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, Pastor Evelyn L. Madison, officiating.

A private committal will be held at Blair Memorial Park.
