Thomas W. Gority

Thomas W.  Gority, 69, of Altoona, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a son of the late Richard W. and Marie G (Gibney) Gority.

Thomas married Yun C. Chong on Sept. 21, 1996, in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife, Yun; a daughter, Kimberly (Ryan) Mazoff; a son, Thomas J. Gority; three grandchildren; three sisters: Cynthia Estep, Mary (Bob) Suders, and Christine (Ken) Kramer.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard D.

Thomas was a custodian at Bellwood-Antis School District.

He graduated from Altoona Area High School and served in the Army National Guard.

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona, where a Funeral Service Outside of Mass will immediately follow at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with Father L’ubomír J. Strecok, officiant.
