VIRGINIA "Gina" A. EDER

June 13, 1929 — August 10, 2016

Virginia A. Eder, 87, of Lebanon formerly of Altoona, passed peacefully at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was born in Altoona the daughter of the late Andrew and Sophie (Wytosick) Adameck.  Virginia married the love of her life, Frank, on September 4, 1954. She was a devoted wife until his passing in 1996. 

Survived by her two sons: John and wife Kori of Lebanon and Frank and wife Audrey of Lincoln University.  “Bacia” also has six grandchildren who she loved  dearly: Tawny, Jake, Eliza, Annaliese, Andrew, and Adam;  two sisters: Mary Sopata and Theresa Coyne both  of Cleveland, OH, and a brother: Frank of Erie.  She is also survived by her favorite, and only, brother-in-law Anthony "Gabby" Bruno of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by her four siblings Helen Rayot, Elizabeth Vinci, Joseph Ademeck, and Andrew Adameck.

Virginia attended St. Peter & Paul School and was very proud of her Polish heritage and Catholic religion. Gina was a former member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.  She was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School.

Frank and Gina loved to go to polka dancing on Saturday nights and spend summer vacations in Ocean City. In later years Gina enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino and playing the lottery.

Friends may call Saturday September 17, 2016 from 10 am till 11 am  where a funeral service outside of mass will be conducted at 11:00 am. by Rev. Carl A. Spishak at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 - 17th Street, Altoona. Inurnment will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery.
